I think it is because of the Mugen legacy of stability and the reputation of narrow-weighted cars to be less stable. I find my V4 MBX6 to be pretty stable, never been fully satisfied with the action of the suspension.

Not true.

Out of the box you need the Elite R/C Motor Mount.

You also need a bunch of extra front arms. Be prepared to only break one side as well and have a stock pile of the other side!

the stock motor mount is fine. Ive never broke anything on my car in over a year.

I run on bumpy, low grip tracks and have both a Mugen and a Tekno. Both are great cars but I am faster with the Tekno. It carries better corner speed and jumps a little better than the Mugen. So far it has been more reliable parts breakage wise than the Mugen as well.
