Default which size pinion for sp 17.5mmm
My son will be racing on a smaller indoor track. He has a losi 22 , and will be using a speed passion 17.5r mmm motor. What size pinion should he start with?

More important is the spur, you'll want a 70t. From there ideal gearing will be somewhere between 30-35t. This varies with motor.

Hes using whatever the stock spur gear is on the losi.

That's a 78 I think. You'll want a smaller one. These 17.5s take a crazy tall gear to run well.
