Nick-mind

Hello all,

My wife today bought me a new SH .28 from our LHS. I was about to start taking the engine apart to give it a once over, before I install into my savage ss. But looking through the back of the exhaust port, I see this notch on the top side of the Sleeve? It does not look right to me, but is this normal? I have taken some photos, but it still really hard to see. But good enough to explain what I am looking at.

Please let me know if I should take it back to my LHS?
