Default Lost my body clips and wrecked my race completely! Any ideas?

Hey guys! I was in the Novak Race here at the Hobbyplex Omaha, Ne this past weekend and in the A-main for Pro2 I traction rolled and lost both of my rear body clips. For the whole rest of the race the rear of my body was loose and I couldnt tell which way my truck was pointing most of the time which means that the rest of the race went horrible.

So what do other people do to prevent this? I mean other than rolling.

thanks guys!
Kyle

Get some better body clips. They shouldn't pop out that easy from a traction roll. It has happened to us all though. I've put tape down over some body clips before just to be safe.

velcro, it held up under the rain in an endurance so it will held up everywhere

body clips are made for the stone age

I run velcro all the way down my side pods on my buggies. Sometimes I have body mounts, sometimes I remove the mounts and just use velcro only.

You have to wire brush the fuzzy velcro from time to time to fluff it back up clean. So put the fuzzy velcro on your chassis, and the plastic velcro on the body. Apply Shoe Goo to the body and let it dry before appying the Velcro.

Short course can't get away with velcro. You just need some beefier body clips. I use the ones for the SC10 4x4 as they are a thicker gauge then the ones that came with the SC10.

This is the best excuse for a poor finish that I've ever heard. I'm going to use it next time!

Or just run crappy clips so your body falls off in the the first lap, its sure to be fast in short bus.

The dubro large body clips (Klips) hold on pretty tight, I have had others come unclipped in crashes etc, but not these yet
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXFRG6&P=7
they are about in between the size of some 8th scale clips and 1/10th scale clips.

I put a bend in the end so they are easier to take off

I have some of these but I do not remember where I got them. They are a pain to put on and take off but they will not fall out.

I personally use Velcro, it works great and you don't have to worry about body clips. I did use this before though. All you have to do is drill it in to your body, and it'll hold your body clips. It's called a Dubro Body Clip Retainer.
