Novak or Orion Batt ?

Battery question guys.
Novak Platinums or the Orion Team SP2's?
Anyone have any experience with these batteries?
I have several packs of the Orion SP1's and they were OK, but not great.
They are for off-road truck and buggy racing.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I've got a friend that runs the NOVAK platinums and its pretty cool...you look inside the box and the cell match numbers are printed on the inside of the box!....and they say stuff like 1.2...1.1999....1.2....and things like that....the #'s are crazy!....he says he likes the packs pretty good so...

If racing offroad mainly I think you are spending TOO much money on a NAME.
There are plenty of respectable matchers with cells that are priced more economically that will produce the same results.
I had 2 packs of Novaks and compared to My other batteries I wasnt impressed with them at all and quite pissed I spent the money for them.
They seem to really fall off about the 8-10th charge.I have other cells that perform alot better.
Orion makes nice batteries but watch out for their #'s.They cutoff different and it bloats the #'s.
I support 1 battery matcher and have for over 5 yrs now.I keep giving other companies a chance and nothing seems to match up.
Since im against NAME dropping if your intrested in who it is simply email me.Very respectable matcher.

There are alot of good batteries on the market and you should realize that all the cells are similar but the processes in which they are manipulated for performance, are different.

Numbers do not always mean everthing you should ask people what they found works best on the track and how they charged it during the particular run they are talking about.

In Team Orion's defense the matching process is not to BUMP the numbers, but it is what we feel gives the best performance. Some of the very best on-road drivers in the world run for Team Orion and love the batteries. If they did not give world championship performance then the drivers would run something else.

You should see what people are running at your local track and get some input.
