Thank you for the response, but I was after the length of the turnbuckles themselves. My kit is not yet here, but I was thinking about ordering some TI or Alum links. It's a bit strange that a length is not listed in the manual. Even JQ himself in the nitro forum didn't know the lengths...lol

I'm asking this out of curiosity.

I built my eCar a while ago and saw that NONE of the holes into plastic were tapped. Is this a regular thing with kits? I went ahead and built the car with a little grease on the threads to help them tap into the holes. I might have stripped a screw on the front diff though.

yes that's regular on every car, you have to thread yourself with the screws
some cars are worse like the Serpents

With a Tekno conversion or a Ecar

You can use:
http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...-Spur-Gear-46T

or

http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...stic-Spur-Gear

With either you have to use the ofna oring - not included in the bag or
one from a AE RC8.2 diff - use the clear ones.

Hope that helps.

finally about to pull the trigger on one of these....

Are the stock hexes and wheel nuts aluminium? I noticed there is a "lightened" version and was curious is the stock units are steel or alum.

This thread is quite slow. Is this a bad sign or is this buggy just under the "radar"?

I haven't had a chance to drive mine yet but I would say that the thread is slow because the buggy is under the radar. Everyone who uses it loves it. It's one of the reasons I went ahead and bought it.

A question for the users on the thread. Has anyone ran a 6s 1400 power system in the eCar? I checked the dimensions of the Trak Power 6s 4300mAh 6s lipo and it should fit. I'm planning on getting the TrakPower and a 1400 Tekin RX8 Gen2. I'm planning on gearing for around 35-40mph with standard 1/8 buggy tires. Going by how others gear their cars, 35mph seems like a good, comfortable starting point.
