I agree with Morrow go with the CV-R or TR($129.99).The O.S.12 TR has more top end.

i know this thread isnt about me and a new engine but i made a thread a while ago about an os and no one replied soo...i might be trading my losi xxt for a HPI first gen rush and i will hav about 60-95 to spend and i wanted a second hand os .18 cv-rx but is it too powerful and if its too powerful , will an os .15 cv-rx make an HPI rush pop wheelies. And which one would you get the .18 or .15?

Thanks. im not gonna race im about bashing and i want a good but powerful engine and i want it to push it at least 35-45 if thats possible.

for the thread, I turned down a motor change this season to stick with my os .12 CV-R :O any other motor like a Fantom or a Sirio will need to a carb restrictor anyway! I do love my CV-R

as for the .15 CVR, it has been discontiunued from tower! dont ask me why, and i dont see a replacement for it either. but stay CLEAR of the .15 CV, make sure its the CV-R. the .15 CV has less power than the .12 CV-R.

and remember, if you gear the truck low enough to pop wheelies, its geared low enough to detonate your tranny gears

ok, im thinking of getting the os .15 cv-rx off ebay used because if i trade for this rush i will hav enough money left over for a good , used engine.

I would go for it, actually. Well, im not a big HPI fan, but a good .15 CV-R is always a good thing to have on hand. They will last forever if you take care of em. The best part, a total rebuild for the motor is like 60 or 70 bucks.

Great little engines they are
