i run battery forward and the kit setup with 35 weight oil in front, for me, its the perfect setup, i might have to try the split thing, i think i have a saddle pack 2000 laying around

i said in another thread that i felt the slit made the car feel gimp, but that was in the onroad, never tried it on the dirt, goodluck

I don't see any benifit really.

you are increasing the pitch and yaw inertia without any reduction anywhere else.

it might be more stable(not as sensitive to throttle input) in the air and have less tendancy to turn in but are these good things?

I ran a split setup yesterday with excellent results. Plenty of turn in with a oneway in the front.
It was a good balance of front and rear traction.

I say put the pack together and keep your cg closer to the center. You can adjust handling in other places.
