That I can agree on. Those TQ radios are junk. I'm throwing it on eBay and using my MX-3 as soon as I get the JATO.

Do you ever think that the reason people get RTRs because they just want to bash?
Jumping to conclusions really isn't cool dude. You need to chill out.

I didn't say rtrs suck, I didn't say traxxas sucks.
RTRs = any quality vehicle, 99% of the time with the cheapest radios available, with no features. Engines/motors/speed controls vary, but are generally not the best available.(Excluding LST and some FG 1/5 / 1/6 scales)

Newbies want RTRs It's convenient and cost-effective. After you get going in the hobby and have a nice radio, you don't want to pay extra for a radio you're not going to use...

I go for higher quality now. Higher then traxxas that is. My losi was an RTR by the way, but I got it as a birthday present, off ebay, with no radio. Had steering servo, Novak Explorer II, and several (decent) stocker motors.
I got the RTR version because it's plastic, losi kits are graphite. I'm new to racing so I wanted plastic, as its slightly stronger.
I've broken one a-arm on this truck one roll pin, and stripped a few screws. Isn't that quality? And yes, I have crashed quite a few times...

Okay, my bad there. From what you posted I thought you were saying the RTR cars were crap. In this case, I do agree that they need better components, especially the radio. I am quite pleased to see Losi including JR radio systems with their RTRs now, which is nice.

I have no idea. I'm throwing out both the receiver and the transmitter. Those servos are gonna go bye-bye too.

Traxxas radios are made by futaba. AM radios are pretty friendly with using with other brands.
With the FM, you have to make sure its the right shift (positive or negative), and with PCM, well....just use the same brand.

You could sell a traxxas radio for about 20 dollars, transmitter only. Servos would be good spares.

Supposedly, it's due out either this Monday or Tuesday, that is if Traxxas don't pull a "Team Losi".

Jato will be shipping tomorrow the 28th. I had preordered one but cancelled to wait until upgraded parts are readily available.

Tower has them on backorder for $359.99, $319.99 with $40 dicount code.
