You have to remember almost everyone here is only concerned with shaving lap times on the track. Nobody really cares about you making an electric truggy that can go fast in a straight line. Pretty much anyone on here can put a high voltage battery and a high KV motor in a car and drive it fast in a straight line. Nothing special.

Me too, and what about the tranny.

Name is Todd not dick.
You suckered me in with your topic. I thought I might help but speed runs, meh

Todd Is probably one of the nicest racers youll meet. If it was worth commenting on with an honest opionion. He would have done it.

I seriously doubt that a racer can not learn some useful thing from building a car that is fast and durable at the same time.

I mean if your going for top speed, a buggy would be a lot better option. Smaller, thinner, less drag coefficient. And don't say get a life to someone who took probably 30 seconds to write a post on the same forum you posted on, it's silly.

Generally every truck I ever do I have AA standard list of things I run down and try to work on to sure solid durability...
Shocks- are the stock shock shafts going to with stand hard hits and will the shock caps survive if not measure em up and see if you can get a big bore opition
Wheels and tires may sound silly but I hate dish wheels so much and if they are on dish wheels I try to change that I like the look of realistic offroad rims and I also try and check the tire compound to make sure she will do well on the terrain I am running
I also then go after rpm parts and upgrading drive shafts
I always wanna ultimately run cvd's and run rpm arms because they have never let me down
And I would look at the servos and see if they are worth upgrading
That's where I would start and I would love to kick ideas with ya man
I'll pay attention and listen to what you have got

wow.

seriously, yes, i stand behind my statement 100%. where did i say "i want to drive super fast in a straight line"? nowhere, and by no means would there be any point in just putting a big motor and esc on 6s in it and posting...agreed.

yet i must say, my confusion is around the fact that you think everyone is on here to race. and my confusion is around your offense to the fact that i told you to get a life, i left this thread alone and you guys teamed up one comment like bitchy little wolves for two weeks...yeah, get a life.

if you don't care, don't post. some of us aren't "gods of the sport like you" and want to give each other advice. get me kicked off here if i am so far in the wrong

for those who care...the eight t fell out last minute, went with a ten t/e. i put a leopard 1000kv motor, a castle boat esc and ran it on 10S in a straight line so fast it was so sweet...and "this thread is done"
