Default Scte Novak 4.5

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this and I looked everywhere and couldn't find the answer to my question so I'll just ask. Would the Novak activ8 and Novak 4.5 motor work good in an scte 2.0 for racing only on a large indoor track? How is the vented end bells? Does debris get inside the motor from the vents? And also how would the viper copperhead and vx4r.51 motor work in an scte 2.0? Would this be better than the Novak? Basically my question is which is better and why. Thank you guys for any input

Its only been ten minutes. The Viper copperhead is more of a basher system, not the best for racing.

The novak activ8 esc is as smooth as butter. I also really liked the 4.5T 550 motor. The latest rave is the newer 4pole motors, but the novak 4.5T will get it done well in nearly all situations as well.

Honestly take a look at the Tenshock 4 pole 550 motors like the 3800kv to 5200kv . There like $85.00 to less !

Ive ran the 401 Red can model and it has some power .

On Built rc.com they can keep up with the big boys i know.

ESCs well i wouldnt recommend the Brushless Hobbies 120 amp to you but ive heard the Hobbywing 120 Amp ESCs are good.

Is the open end bells of the Novak a good thing for it? What does it really do besides let dirt in?

Cools the motor off.

This is a good combo. The 4.5 is very fast and you an add timing for even more speed. On a small indoor I ran about 75% on my throttle on the radio.

That's awesome. Do I need to clean the motor alot because of the open end bells or does it not really need it?

Nah but you do need to watch the front bearing and change it out every month if you run the motor hot (170) and race 2-3 times a week. It's preventative maintenance.

Losi8
I have a 4.5 Novak and a 5.5 Novak for sale. I don't run 4x4 sc any longer. However, I really liked the 2 pole motors. smoother and easier to control for me.
$45 each or $80 for both. PM me if interested.
