Thing is price will lower for mugen once it's released. Right now $700, but it will probably drop to around 400-500 to match all of their other kits prices.
Scte, nobody can say for sure, who knows,TLR may throw us a curve ball.
I'm not going to buy anything yet, and i suggest the same to anyone else in my position. The world's races are huge and there are always and explosion of new kits after them. Wait and see what comes out, what you like, and what you will ultimately purchase. I'm just waiting till i have all the choices possible at my fingertips.

How will the sct410 do against MIP scte ??

My scte at 6lbs(bce chassis, carbon all around, battery tray mod, etc...) is more agile and faster than stock so I assume the sct410 will react the same too, I hope so.

EB48 is 306mm, 10mm more than stock. We'll have a 17mm option though that should be ROAR legal for the SC.

I hadn't bought the DE rims, but from my brief look when I considered converting before the SCT410 was announced, it appeared that the EB48 knuckles and steering mechanism would be too large to fit into just a 17mm standard sized SC rim, which sounds like what ferrarieeeee was talking about doing.

Am I right in that, and that your 17mm ROAR legal option will more closely resemble a 17mm hex on the SC parts than the EB48 set of suspension/steering parts?

You can wait but know that this is already a proven platform from the buggy and I have serious doubts other manufacturers will be able to match it dollar for dollar and stock vs stock platforms. I mean there's a lot of clever planning on the part of some major labels to max out profits for upgrades, that in reality are necessary mods to make the chassis competitive. In this case the EB48 is a direct indication that this rig will not be as upgrade intensive to be competitive. I have an original EB48 kit with zero upgrades I've been racing since it was first delivered to the market and have zero failures. Considering my skills or lack thereof, that's saying something...

The tekno kits are the most superior as of now, but i'm not just going to drop 1,500 on 2 kits before i know all my options are there. Rather be sure than be sorry.

Good thinking, I waited for months on my pre-order of the sc10 4x4, and we all know how that turned out. With that said, I am 100% confident this sct will be worth whatever wait, and whatever disappointment there will be, will be marginal. Cant wait cant wait!

I believe this SCT WILL be The Best!!....This is what AE should have done back in 2009 when I mentioned it on their forum after I got my SC8....All they had to do was make a 10th scale/lightened version of the SC8....Finally, Tekno listened to everyone and is coming through with THE REAL DEAL!!!!....Kudos TEKNO!!!

Will it be possible to run the diffs from the EB48 in the truck? I understand why you went with lighter parts in the 410 but I'd like to run the beefier 1/8 parts if possible.

I think because the eb48 and the sct410 are similar were going to see alot of franken teknos! Gonna get interesting as 2013 race year develops!

I think the diffs are the same , the CVD's are smaller/lighter than the EB48's ....
