HAHAHA...yea sum christmas presents have been taken off the list lol..

I hope it comes in kit form similar to the EB48, I love the quality of the parts from Tekno. A buggy and a SCT is all I need to go racing lol

+1 . Please don't have these prebuilt Tekno.

If you decide to make an RTR down the line sure, but for now, please, please don't! :)

Hey Tekno....
I've had a thought....since this SCT410 shares so much with the EB48....how about a conversion kit for the SCT410<->EB48? ....hear me out....summer racing outdoors with the EB48, then convert it for winter racing indoors as the SCT410 :)

Yea and I really enjoy building now...I had an RTR SC10 2wd but my next SCT I want to be a kit and build it so I can get to know it in and out..Im building the EB48 now and naturally I would go with the SCT410 (no disrespect to any brand).

Come on guys, it's Tekno, it's going to be a kit. I'd bet my left tes.......ear that it is.

@Pinebox: If it's truly 80% EB48 parts, the 20% of new parts couldn't be THAT expensive, right? Especially if it's the same chassis (is this possible?). It wont be long before someone puts together a complete parts list showing the deltas. From a business standpoint I wouldn't expect an EB48 <-> SCT410 conversion to work out.

Having looked at doing a user conversion for a while, the same chassis is perfectly plausible, as the wheelbase length was already correct. The 2 main issues I had were trying to find arms that were shorter so as to not be over width, and I didn't think I could fit the current edges of the suspension/drive/steering inside a standard SC wheel. Of course they'll also need bumpers, body mounts, and nerf bars.

If 80% is the same, I would guess pretty much just that will change...but we'll have to wait to see pictures or hear from them to know for sure.

I bet all you will need is front/rear bumpers , body mounts , front/rear driveshafts , and front/rear arms and body . Maybe tie rods and toe links if the EB48 rods wont threand in enough .....

.

james633 11-14-2012 10:26 AM

I would guess the chassis is thinner. Maybe 3mm instead of 4mm.

Wanna see some pics, I'll show you some of my brand new SCTE that was delivered to my door last week. I've been racing a V4 d8 plus a V4 d8t for several years. For the last race of this season I stepped up to a eb48. I can't believe Tekno didn't give us a little heads up, they've know about this truck for months if not longer. Would have saved some of us a bunch of cash.
