Default castle sidewinder Sv2 3800kv 3s in a exo?

anyone out there running this set up? after reading a lot of forums i pretty much pieced this together for a hundred bucks on eBay so i can run 3s in my axial exo kit Ive finished, anyone out their using this set up on 3s with a 4wd roughly around 5lbs? if so what kind of gearing/temps do you normally see? i know the motor has a max rating of 180C which is good should be nice and safe on 3s. I couldn't find an actually spec for the esc although it does have thermal shutdown. castle states that 12.6 is max, i have a velineon with 12.6 as a max and it never goes past 100F should i expect the same results with the sv2 and 3800? I'm not gonna run with the interior that came in the kit so air flow wont be an issue.
anyways any feedback from people with this set up on a 4wd is greatly appreciated. i was gonna start it on 12/52 when i get it.

castle specifically recommends not to use the 1410-1y motor with the sidewinder speed control on 3s. it is recommended for 2s only. thats why the exo RTR comes with a variation of the 1410 in 2900kv. the sidewinder speed control already runs hot enough on 2s as is, and IMO castle can kiss my pail white behind.
i have had horrible experience with their products. their customer service is far below par.
i may be brand loyal, but i recommend the viper sensorless systems over castle's all day.

Great motor, poor ESC. Hobbywing instead, mebbe- I run a pair of 1410s w/ HW80A XeRun ESCs on 2 and 3s with no issues.

i ve never heard of castle ever recommending 3s with the 1410 motor in any way shape or form but....
if you swap in the Mamba Max Pro you could probably run 3s.

Just because the motor is usable on 3S doesn't mean the Sidewinder SCT or SV2 is capable of lasting very long running it on 3S.

The 3800 on 2s with the right gearing should be plenty of power.

I ran a sv2 with hpi warp 5700kv 4pole on 3s in a exo it got pretty warm but not enough to thermal. At the end of a pack you could still touch the motor

from my experience...the motor can handle it all day long. the sidewinder will go up in smoke after three or four hard runs. mmp works great though...3s with ease.

What I don't understand is the esc in my savage xs is nothing more than a sidewinder sv2 with a fan on it pushing 4000kv 4pole motor and its rated 2 and 3s?

Also, the new sidewinder castle sells has a built in fan that comes with the 3800kv motor. So maybe it can handle 3s power with the cooling fan a little better.
