Xray XB4 thread
hi there
i have a 2018 xb4 and have been studying setup sheets
i run outdoor low traction largish track fairly big jumps 6.5 motor
two questions do people use a front lower brace and upper steering brace in these conditions?
also what droop is a good start. , setups vary alot on the setup sheets

ride height
I bought a an almost new xray xb4 2018. during setup the only way I can get the ride height down to 16 in the front is to lay down the shocks. Any one else have any Ideas? or experience for astro turf setup?

if it hasnt been run much.. the springs will need time to break in.. other than that.. should be good to go.. are you running the longer shock ends?

They also have short springs available, hence preferred way is stay with cut springs, they tend to work better.

Not sure about shock ends I bought it used... barely. I am assuming stock kit ends. I have not seen any option for longer ends. However I have purchased an extra set of front springs So I can experiment...

More droop is always good for low traction. You can either use the stock 1.6/1.7 pistons or the 1.5-1.1/1.6-1.1 4 hole setup. You can start with unscrewing the shock ends 3 full turns for droop. Then measure for reference later.

You'll need to cut the springs to get down very low ride height (14mm). This is the solution that the Xray team drivers use.

RCAmerica has updated their website, go check it out. you can search any parts by number if you cant find them in the drop down menus.
It also has stock status of parts, so you can be sure they will be shipped to you.

I've been waiting for this to happen since the first day I bought a xray. Of course I'm all stocked up on spares now but will still order up some 3x2.1 orings and 2018 shock guides soon.
