Ok guys... Did yours look like this? It's a "RR +2". But mine is a regular "RR".

Any thoughts?

Got mine out on the track today and man what a difference over the b44.3! I weighed the two and the XB4 was about 100g lighter overall but felt 10lbs lighter on it's feet. Was immediately able to double-double a 4 pack of what are normally all singles. Steering was much more reactive even at the conservative box settings. Would rotate on a dime but still throttle out of the turn without getting loose.

Ran the center diff first with 100k on med-high bite. Really hard packed indoor but was fairly dusty on top being a practice day. Also swapped out to the slipper and think I liked it better than the center diff. More forward bite and could get on the gas harder without spinning tires and didn't notice much difference in turning.

I figured they would have some 500k or 1000k at the hobby shop but no luck, so going to order some and try out the center diff again with thicker oils.

are there any good aftermarket battery strap systems out there for shorty packs? It's kind of a pain getting to the body clip in the rear and would rather just have two thumb screws holding it down. I also use some packs that are a little swollen during practice so nice to be easy to have a bit more room adjusted for.

I took a long screw (around 32mm if I remember correctly) and cut the standoff about 5mm shorter. Screwed the screw all the way through and use a standard thumb nut. Works like my b5m now.

If I install the RR+2 upside down, then it's a match with the original "RR" that came with the car. If I install it correct side up, then it would result in a DECREASE in rear caster - maybe negative caster even.

Can others check if this is the case with theirs please?

I take that back.. The standard rear mount is notched on the bottom to lower it. Your mount looks correct.

Stock pistons are not ideal on a loose bumpy track.

Front: 500-550 cst Rear: 400-450 cst

Springs: Front 2 or 3 dot and Rear 1 or 2 dot

No limiters in shocks and if really loose we add droop as well by unscrewing the shock rod ends.

Swaybars 1.2mm or thinner.

If really loose we run no swaybars.

Shorter links, inside and down on the hinge pin inserts and ride height of around 22mm on a bumpy track.

For diffs in low grip conditions we run 3 / 500.000 / 2

Metal gears inside and hardened alu. pins in all diffs.

Shorty pack is awesome in low grip conditions

Other buggys looking better with saddles is down to a better setup

Bent

Bent its great to have you back on the thread!

Where do you run the shocks with this low grip setup?

thanks

That is the RR hanger for the '15 models, or for the '14 with both +2 rear hangers.
