I did this mod on my car. I have been ruuning it for about 6 months and love it. The roll center and CG change really tied the rear end down. I also added the +.75 rear hexes. This thing is an animal.

@Yodah - what type of tires are those - specifically the fronts?

Nice S-Works Wing with Serpent wing buttons - I was planning to do the same!

Looking good! Is it summer yet?

A buddy at my truck runs the yellow rear avids on his xb4 and they work pretty good.

Yes it sounds about right. I have been running 37.5 front and 30 in the rear with good success. This is with AE oil.

Elex :
That's precisely what David recommends on his web site and also noted on AMain's page for these pistons. I am running that now...I might actually try a little heavier though.
Also, it's 1.6 FF and 1.5 RR....at least that's what the web page shows.

Not exactly, taken directly from A Main's website:

"Piston Tips:

•Use 1.5+1.1 piston in XB4 Front. Start with 35 wt Associated oil (425 cSt). For XRAY oils, use 450 cSt.
•Use 1.6+1.1 piston in XB4 Rear. Start with 30 wt Associated oil (350 cSt). For XRAY oils, use 350 cSt".

I'm going to run 37.5wt (F) & 30wt (R) to start on our high bite clay track this summer.

Default Recommend me a good gearing setup

Ok,

Just got XB4 kit to build, so back into 1/10th scale after 10 years away.

Been running 1/8th XB9 (nitro) and just got MBX7 ECO.

Anyhow, the electrics are new RSX ESC and a Tekin 8.5T motor.

My main question is regarding the gearing, what pinion would you recommend for both 81T and 84T Spurs with 8.5T motor.

Right now I'm running a 7.5T LRP X20 at 81/19. It depends on what size track you're going to run. I'd probably start off with a 20 tooth pinion.
