Xray XB4 thread

Anyone know a US store that has 365114 (bevel gear) in stock? First weekend on the XB4 and slipper was too loose at first then apparently too tight. Was super awesome even after it lost a few teeth!
Also does someone have a pic of both (V1 and V2) 35T Bevel gears side by side?

Did you check the coils on your progressive spring?

A spring will always compress the same regardless of which way you mount it.
There's no way of applying pressure to just one side of the spring.
Put 2 dampers (without oil) with springs in a shock tool (like Losi's) with the springs the same way, compress and observe, now flip one of the springs the opposite way and compress again.......then get back to me
You're not alone in thinking this though.........it's a VERY wide spread misconception

Guys - What size/length screws are used for tuning the chassis flex? I don't see any mention of this in the manual and the used kit I bought didn't include any extra screws. Thanks for your help.

coming back from a local indoor onroad carpet track were the buggies are allowed and the xb4 is already faster than the touring cars even if it was our first time there
we ran used mini spike in yellow and the car was awesome! I had my SV2 with me too and it has a better steering on this tight track but this is normal being a 2wd, laptimes were a tad slower though because of the lack of traction compared to 4wd

Major Slipper Issues
My XB4 has some major slipper issues...tried everything scraped the glaze, etc even tried a new set of Associated pads...to no avail. Got the car to work decent after I razor scraped the stock pads and tightened the slipper almost all the way locked down probably about a 1/4 turn out from locked. Anyone have these issues. Running the composite gears in the difs...rebuilt the difs with 7000 front and 5000 rear...anyone...someone???

Just under 5mm the manual says 5.5-5.7 again its locked down and backed a 1/4 at the most to get it to work somewhat decent. I bought this used but in really close to new condition. When I first ran it a couple weeks ago it was whipping around the corners....came to find out last week that the slipper was locked (I hadn't even thought of checking it) so when I ran it again I followed the recommended setting and could not get it to work properly. I did go through the diffs and the gears were missing a tooth here and there im guessing from running it locked down. Again I replace the gears when I redid the difs....still no clue???
