You can go the 1dot rear springs and that will give it a good bit more rear bite. Although the stock setup is very good on higher bite flowing tracks. On tight indoor tracks that Bayer setup is great.

I tried the Martin Bayer set up and it was really good on a NW dirt track. Only thing I changed was the diff oils... 7/3 to start out with but ended up with 5k in the front and 3k in the rear. It made it very stable and predictable but I'm going back to 7/3. It pulled through the corners on power and was on point

Where can I find this Bayer set up? I'm racing on a tight indoor medium to high bite clay track. Car just doesn't settle in after a jump like it should. Anybody using 2 hole pistons? If so what weight oil? Also anybody using the RB ads shock inserts?

All the Xray setups are on the teamxray.com web site. Search by model. If you want a great setup for 2hole pistons then also have a look at Chris Bozich's setup.

Anyone try using Velcro on the body instead of using body clips. It works on my RB6 and would love to get rid of the clips.

I apologise...the problem being that we can't run stock motors in the XB4 without modifying another spur gear. the holder idea works great, if you have a lathe

just machine up an aluminium bar with about a 3mm deep pocket thats a push fit on your AE spur, then fit 3 bolts around the outside to clamp it down. then use a 5.95mm drill bit to take out the centre hole and while youre there remove the internal shoulder. assemble onto xray slipper clutch assembly and youre good to go

Question: when filling the diffs do you guys go by weight or by filling just above the satellite gears? When filling by weight it sure does look like its too much in there! Anyone else noticed this?

This was my first gear diff race car so.... and my scale doesn't weigh 1/100th of a gram so.... I eyeballed it. After a short learning curve it seems to be working out.

I hear ya but that's why I bought a scale. It just looks like too much fluid when weighing it. Anyone else uses a scale or by the magic eyeball?

Default New to Xray B4

Hello Gents! I recently purchased an Xray b4. I should have it here by Friday. I am new to 4x4 buggies. I read good things and bad things about the xb4. I just couldn't wait for Losi to elevate their game. I am reading this thread and see people are having problems with landings on xb4. Any advice would be great. Also what motor shold i run? I have a brand new orion pro 160 amop speedo i plan to use. Also what parts should I stock up on? Last thing i want is to break down and not be able to continue racing.

Thanks guys
