I have used mine for 3+ weeks now and the only thing i have replaced is a front bulkhead, no issues with the diffs (have steelgears as backup) even with shumacher minipin on a high grip carpet track and a 5.5turn motor ( have changed it to a 7.5 now).
No issues with the towers yet, they are sanded and glued and seems to hold (have a set of alu i order).

My brother stripped a rear diff (i think the screws where loose)...
He also broke a rear arm but that was after hitting a post at full speed...
They have both taken some hard crashes and i think they are wery strong
So after 3+ weeks that is not a lot of trouble and we drive the cars like we stole them ( i broke more in one day with the dex410 v3)

I would take this over the durango any day even with the minor problems, remember the durango is a v3 and is far from perfect imo.....

I drive it with the box setup for carpet with 2 dot sprins in the rear and the car is super smooth.
Have a set og progressive springs that i will try next time....

Xray doesn't seem to be reading this forum. Those who have issues should register a user on the Xray forum and give feedback. There's actually a registration note in every kit with this information.

Any idea what diameter those o-rings are, or what is best fit in the xray shock cap? I want to get some o-rings to seal mine up, but I've just rebuilt/refilled my shocks and want to have the right parts before I rebuild again. Xray do a 10mm oring kit, which I wonder if it will fit?

Aren't there some optional alloy shock caps in the works?

At this stage until there is a confirmed reponse from Xray and so forth I'll stick with my Kyosho FS2 SP.

Default set-up

anybody have thoughts on favorite set-up for moderate sized clay tracks...using an orion 8.5t...
-pinion?
-oil?
-slipper?
-ride height?
-chassis stiffness?
-etc?
I haven't gotten mine to the track yet...but the only changes I've heard of from the base setup at my track is 23 for ride height and a weird combo on the chassis mixing up the screws...not sure on the slipper

Despite the long term performance and durability testing to which the XRAY XB4 was subjected by the factory and R&D team, several XB4 customers have reported minor issues in crash situations. XRAY has been well known to fully stand behind their products and is known for providing first class customer service and support. Even though the reported issues have affected only a small portion of XB4 owners, XRAY felt that it would be prudent to provide a free XB4 upgrade package to all XB4 owners through the shop where the kit was originally purchased.

The set includes:
- Reinforced Front Bulkhead V2
- Differential Bevel Gear 35T Front & Rear - V2
- Front Shock Tower Protector
- Rear Shock Tower Roll Center Reinforcement
- Replacement Diff Satelitte Gears (no change, just free spare)
