Has anyone toyed with the idea of modifying an XB4 with the stadium truck parts to create a 1/10 truggy? It looks like Tekno's 1/10 truggy is gaining huge popularity fast and may even replace the 4 wheel SC class in some places.

Does anyone make a front shocktower cover for a '15 XB4? (for racing on carpet)

What's everyone running for diff oils in the buggy with metal gear difffs. Medium traction. Even a good starting point.

Thanks

I am looking for a new 4wd buggy for 13.5 racing. Currently running a losi 22-4 2.0. Just interested in a buggy that is not such a pain with maintenance, and hopefully fairly easy to drive. I have narrowed my decision down to xray and tekno, but wanted to get a feel from people who own the buggy. Do you feel competitive in 13.5, are there any must have 'upgrades' or parts you want to keep onhand?

thanks!

What type of track are you racing on? If turf or carpet, get some heavier roll bars (8 Dot and 6 dot) and the front steering brace to add flex. If on clay, then the stock parts work really well. The only other thing that I have added and use on all surfaces are different wheel hexes. I currently am running 1 slot in front and 2 slots in the rear.

I would buy one in a heartbeat. The 1/10 scale truggy is catching on quick at my local track.

I'm very curious as well, to part parts would be needed to add to the XB4 platform for the 1/10 Truggy class.

It seems like would mainly need the XT2 arms with front/rear dog bones and then the body mounts to the front/rear shock towers.

I have done some test fitting and it is looking to be rather expensive. The XB4 front uprights needed for the front driveshafts have to be machined/ground down to fit the XT front arms. The front driveshafts I estimate to need to be about 100mm. I can find 98mm and over 100mm. The front shock angle looks like it will interfere with the driveline without a spaced modified front shock tower. Rear XT drivelines look like they will come over to XB OK. Not sure what rear shock tower would be needed to use XT shocks.

I just pulled them off my rb6.6, seems the front shock bodies are a little longer as this creates a little less upward travel...not sure how much affect it would have on handling.
