Yes you use a longer ball stud for the steering plate.

Reason for the added shims is more on-power steering.

Depends entirely on the track.

But we more often than not run the front carbon stiffener and all screws on the rear bottom

yeah sometimes you need a longer ball stud depending but usually not.

as far as 4mm on the outer front camber link, that's typically for high grip surfaces like carpet or astro - that in affect raises the roll center - meaning the car will not roll as much in the corners - which is good for carpet so you don't traction roll. this is done by lowering the inner ball studs and raising the outer ball studs.

however if you are on clay you want a much lower roll center because you want to car to roll to get traction so yo don't slide out. this means raising the inner ball studs and lowering the outer ones.

Hey Bent, so I put on the medium plastics like we spoke about and I removed the front bulkhead brace for the steering brace instead. there's a good amount of flex on front now, have you guys ever had any problems with this? what parts are stressed/potential brakes under heavy hits? i've been crashing less lately, but my track has a very big triple and sometimes there's collisions with lap traffic.

Im running the same chassis brace setup on mine with the middle lower front and rear chassis screws removed and no front bulkhead brace on medium bite clay and a big double to triple center jump, i haven't had any issues with flex causing damage to anything.

Hey guys
On the topic of chassis flex , i got a friend to make me a 2.3mm carbon fibre chassis to use at my local track which is a low traction outdoor clay surface.
With slightly more flex than the standard alloy chassis it will be interesting to compare them, oh yeah its also 35% lighter!
Ill let you guys know how it goes after my next club day.

here is the one I use. It is flush mounted to the chassis with the same screw that holds the side guard on. Some people use tape but I rather use this as I know its not going anywhere. it fits a 30x30 fan perfect with 2 screws

I've had best experience by gluing a YR 30mm fan to some lexan which is then stuck down with double sided tape. I add a bit of extra ca glue at the points where the fan is held up on the frame of the fan.

I've used a wtf fan that broke on me within one pack.

I have not been following this thread like I use to. Are there plans for an XB4 2017 anytime soon?
