Another vote for the LRP X20, I went for the 7.5t and run timing, loads of torque and butter smooth

That's the first time I've heard someone describe the X20 as smooth

I'll +1 it as well. I'm going back to it when I stop running stock.

Compared to the 6.5 the 7.5 is a completely different beast, I was surprised myself

Quick question about the spur gear>>>

mine seems to have a little wiggle room back n fourth, is this supposed to be or should it be locked with zero wiggle room?

thx

You need some wiggle room because of the chassis flex system.

the motor mount and spur gear are held by four bolts in the top and 4 on the bottom along with two more through the chassis all in one spot in between the flex holes... seems to me there shouldn't be any flex directly in that area. I run mine like all the rest and haven't seen any indication that more than normal is needed.

I've broken two rear right A-arms. One was a very hard full throttle tumble, the other was a pipe connector down the straight. Overall the car has been very durable.

Between me and a mate we have broken

1 Front shock tower
1 FF hinge pin brace
1 C hub
1 Knuckle
1 Spur
1 Wing Mount
And few stock bearings have fallen to bits

Not bad for 3 months hard running, but all output cups and drive pins are starting to show serious wear which isnt great tho
