Hobbywing 2250kv Troubleshooting!!!
 

I got a brand new hobbywing combo (2250kv 150 esc) when I turn it on and pull the throtle, it makes a strange nasty sound!! I believe it comes from the motor.. It's just like for a few touches, then it just works great..

the sound is like metal touching metal...I cant really explain it...

I drive an ofna Nexx8, the motor goes in the front of the chasis...i dind't really find how to set the motor to turn the other side...so I just switch the motor wires.. cause i just had reverse..

I'm a really unexperience driver... I've only had 1/0 vehicles..Rustler n Slash...both rwd..so this is really new to me..

So pls if someone can help me, I will really appreciatte it.

If it is sensored swapping the wires will be an issue. For sensorless no problem. Take the pinion off and see if you still get the noise. If not my guess is the mesh with the spur is off. If you still get the noise with the drive line disconnected like that then it is the motor.

it is sensored. it still does the sound without the pinion!!

You can't switch the wires on a sensored motor and esc. A must be connected to A, B to B, and C to C.

can I just remove the sensor wire? and it will stop doind the noice?

i believe i can use it sensorless??

Yes you can remove the sensor wire and run it sensorless then you don't have to run the wires from esc to motor in any specific way. If you run sensored then you have two options. Reverse the motor rotation in the esc if it has that setting, or some buggies allow you to reverse the diffs in the cases.

I am not certain, but you my be able to reverse the motor rotation via the esc settings.

Setting 11 is motor rotation.

Hi RCGod!!! OK...I know that!! but it just doesn't explain how to do it!!! I just need to know how to do it.. I can see the chart! But, can do nothing with it if they just don't tell me what to exactly do!! they don't got like a procedure on how can I manipulate the esc!! If u have any idea, pls help me..this is driving me crazy!!! I'm really sorry for my DUMBNESS!

How do I know I'm in the correct setting? Is the esc supouse to flash 11 times or something like that? I m really freaking out! how should I do this? Have u done it?

So, I take it you have the manual and just don't understand?.

Tx on
Hold set button
Turn on ESC
Will flash red then
1green
Keep holding set
2 green
Keep holding set
3 green
And so on till you get 11 green flashes
Release the set button
You are now in mode11 motor rotation
Only 2 settings
Use set button to pick the one you want.
Turn off esc

Also calibrate the ESC to your tx with throttle maxed out.
