Default Orion Vortex R10 Pro

Few questions on the 160A R10pro
1. Lots of guys running this esc with no fan.... Is this ok?
2. The instruction manual has many programmable features, some are highlighted in black on the chart. Are these the default settings? If not does anyone know what factory settings come programmed.
3. How does the voltage cutoff operate? It just shuts down?
Thanks guys

1. Ok in buggy for mod I would say down to a 6.5 without fan. In truck or SC fan should always be used no matter what motor.

2. Highlights in black are default speed control settings.

3. When I get close to Lipo cutoff it spudders and then stops. Know your pack and you wont have any problems. I actually raised the cutoff from 3v per cell to 3.2v per cell. I never stay out longer then 10 minutes a run.

Ok great. I was looking into getting that programmer box but it seems those defaults are what most setup sheets and tlr drivers are running. Promatch did recommend a 3.4 volt cutoff so that is probably the only thing i want to change. Its only one setting so i can just do it manually

I'm wondering this too. I'm thinking about picking one up over the tekin RS Pro but I don't want to spend a lot of money on the programmer. I don't mind the price of the ESC but the programmer I think is way to much just to change the volt cuttoff and a few other small settings.

Other then Evans running 12 percent drag brake everything is pretty much stock in his settings, unless he has updated them since the settings sheets have come out. I use his buggy settings in my RB6, and Tebos truck settings in my RT5 and they are good.
