heres my cars



the Lightning 2 Pro has an RB S5 on a 9863 inline pipe, the Serpent has a NovaMega EVO4 MS & 9901 pipe, the green Kanai2 has an RB C4 with 9863 inline pipe, the MBX5 has a Nova 421B with 9886 inline pipe, the XB8 has a Picco P7-R with Picco 069 inline pipe and the 777SP1 has a 421B with a 9886 inline pipe!
i have other engines available to use including a WS7II a Bergonzoni P5/9853 pipe combo and a ARD modded Omega

unfortunately as you can see from the pic the lightning broke a right rear shock during a photo shoot so i only ever did limited running with it
BUT i can tell you while it was going it was pretty good, seemed to make good use of the S5 which has seemed a little slow in other buggys and soaked up the bumps well. the handling was very good, i think Hotbodies have the geometry right with this car as if you watch a Lightning on the track they all seem to go very well
in fact most of this winter a Lightning has TQ'd at Slough one of the roughest tracks in the UK

Its good to hear that it handles well.. I just got the lightning 2rr and wont get to break it in until monday.. no clue on how good the .26 that came with it is, but I guess I will find out soon enough..

you have alot of buggys if you ever want to donate some please send them my way. I thank all of you who have posted and all of you that will post your pix soon. Im new to 1/8th offroad and wanted to get a feel of what people ran in there buggys and what buggys they ran. and this thread helps me

that looks like a mix & match 7.5 to me dude

it has threaded shocks (look like OFNA) & the old 17 degree front end! the K3 had the 22 degree front end & longer 3.5mm shafted shocks! plus even the wheelhubs & nuts are still the silver ones where the K3 had blue anodised ones

the new steering geometry was the maiin selling point of the K2 & K3 so why would you want to swap back to the earlier less caster version?
