Ready to get beat by my 3 year old b44 at the JC race? :p

I was thinking of ordering a 44.2 before the race, but I didn't have confidence it would get here in time. I'm sure glad I held off on getting the 44.1 for this year since we were all running stadium truck instead.

Want some help dialing it in? I'm going to be doing some testing/tuning on all my cars since I switched to orion ESCs.

Good to hear your running the JC.
Sure you can help. I hope the stock set up is good enough. Wont have a lot of test and tune time before the race. 2 weeks the track is being rebuilt. I'm sure I will most likely just try to get as close to my .1 as possible. It felt great.

I'm in the same boat...but I have to wait until the new year or if I can make enough spare loot to throw at the new kit...Oh well taking a small break from racing anyway so I guess I don't need it if I am not planning on racing as much

My guess is that the stock setup will need the same stuff all the other b44 generations needed depending on track: playing with the weight and ride height in the rear and potentially playing with the inside ball stud in the front depending on the track. Those are my go-to changes. Given the newness of the dampers, you might be in for some oil changes, perhaps even pistons, but that's a given.

I honestly cant believe they called for 20mm in the rear for the book setup, but don't put any weight in there, especially with a longer chassis. IMHO, on our tracks, the b44 always needed to be at 21mm in the rear without weight (classic original team setup), or it will have so little roll that it just slides the rear around completely unengaged in the corners. When you start adding serious amounts of weight back there, 20mm starts working, but then the car is always slower lap time wise on our tight layouts. I like 21mm + silver + 0 ball stud washer on our current layout. Obviously a different car than the new 44.2, but I'm willing to bet we'll find basically the same story to be true for this buggy.

I never ran weight in the .1 and don't plan to on the .2. I am going to start with the stock set up, I hope the optional roll bars are still in the kit? I am really anxious to get it on the track and see how it runs box stock. I plan to get it out this Saturday. I really wont have time to dilly dally with pistons and all the different combos so oil is all I plan the play with there.

I can't wait to try one on my home track. It's small and technical, but has a tendency to get blown out. The cars running big bores kind of glide right over it, but the cars on V2 tend to get jostled around. I'd love to see what the additional length brings.

Lamar your car works really good alone with the bb conversion, but your right the bb help out a lot and I might have to get a .2 and see how the chassi effects it.

I want Alex to run tomorrow. I want to see if he can beat that 16.8, lol.

Is it worth it I was thinking of just getting the b44.1 or should I wait for the b44.2 what should I do?
