i have anew esc and new motor

its the system that comes on the sc10 RS SC truck

been using it fine for about 3 day on 3s...

the motor just sputters and wont run only when i push the car will it run but once i got slow it will stop and sputter... it happend twice but the first time it did it i un plugged the motor and lipo and reconnected and did this like 3 times and it worked....

but now it just wont run.. and its NEW execpt the motor....
i bought it on ebay....

the motor has ran hot a couple times but thats it... been running fine after running hot (i let it cool down)

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

okay now i finnaly got it to run by driving it and not slowing down... i quick 1 min up and down the street and touched the motor and it was HOOT!!

i put i drop of water in the bearing thing in the back of the motor and it sizzled, why did it get soo hot!

that smell is insulation burning off of the windings. might wanna stop running that motor before you smoke the esc too.
sounds like a bearing in the motor locked up causing the rest.

So what could I do about it? Get new bearings??

The motor still runs..... Just gets hot fast....

replace the whole motor. if the insulation's burnt it isnt gonna live long and probably take out the esc too.

Okay, it runs fine just the temps rise and it feels like the rotor inside is a lot hotter than the can, so the insulation is what? Keeps the rotor cool?

its the coating on all those gold (brown) wires inside the can, it keeps the wires from shorting.

So when it burn, the motor is dead?? I mean the motor runs and all. Still.....

Once it's damaged, it will just get worse and worse, eventually killing the motor and possibly the ESC.

Time to look for ANOTHER motor!
