rx8slash

I have a slash 4x4. i keep stripping spur gears and i dont know why.im running stock motor with rx8 esc.54 tooth spur 13 pinion.just changed the motor mount and bearing.had many people adjust the motor,but it keeps wiping out the spur can anyone help?

If the mesh is right you could have a bent motor plate or a pinion that is defective...

Have you tried loosening the slipper a little bit?

My buddy has a slash that did the same thing on occasion. The chassis flexed a bit at the rear and the 54T spur is really close to the bottom and would hit on big jumps. Switched it to a smaller 52 and the problem went away.

Are you sure you have the correct pinion? Mod1, Mod0.8, 32 pitch? They gotta match or you will have issues.

I would just get the Jato 32 pitch spur gears and call it a day.
