Ah, that explains. I was kind of surprised since 4-pole was kind of revolutionary so I couldn't imagine an actual 12-pole setup in a motor the same size.

It is not just tower, but all over eBay with that bad info... on the plus side though I have heard that motor runs like a scalded cat.. not seen it first hand or anything, but the rumors are good.

For every mag their r 3 coils (so far that's the design in rc)
So a
single mag rotor as a novak 540 ballistic has 3 stator coils
Double mag rotor as a hacker air plain motor has 6 stator coils
4 pole rotor as in a tekin pro 4 has 12 stator coils....
Hope this helps .
Fyi for every style the esc sees the rpm multiplied by the poles which is a problem.with higher kv motors

I have run the pro4 in my friend's scte and it has power to spare! It will be enough for whatever you need it for.

For the Hobbywing 4-pole motors, you will want the 4700kv for trucks like the Losi scte. For the Durango and Associated, the 4000kv works great and has more than enough power.
