Hi!
Anyone has tested to mount Badlands 3.8" (on 1/2" offset Pro-Line rims) in the front with the genuine wheel hubs??
Because have bought 4 Rock Rage 3.8", and at rear it's ok, but at front the interior of the tires scrape on the steering... As the Badlands are more narrow, maybe it will good with them.

Wouldn't know to be honest, I do know that even the stock rears on the VE didn't clear the steering at the front.

I think it will be ok with the front XXL options (http://www.kyoshoamerica.com/Aluminu...i_p_22657.html), but I prefer to buy a pair of Badlands than this $35 option (for only 2/4, rears are probably the same), front wheels would be wider than back wheels...

You don't need to buy the extensions from Kyosho you know? That same parts are available from Ofna,Hobao, Mugen, and many other brands for half that price. 17mm hubs are pretty much generic!
Something like this ones. http://www.ebay.com/itm/OFNA-Wheel-H...item58b2380ed7

Sorry to answer only now. I also look for answers on several others French forum but it is not simple (not enough owners of this buggy)...
Ha yes it's right, it's standard.
But I have measure the tracks, without wheel hubs : Front 345mm / Rear 325mm
And with B-XXL wheel hubs :
- Front : 345 + (15 x 2) = 375mm
- Rear : 325 + (25 x 2) = 375mm
Also, for not have a front track larger than rear, the genuine wheels are essential (certainly valid also on XXL). Except if the 1:8 Truggy wheels go in the front train with the genuine short wheel hubs. Would you have already tried ?
EDIT : In front, we need wheel rims with a minimum offset, and wide enough tires (always for the balance of tracks, I don't speak about the road holding).

I haven't tried running them but I tried fitting some offset truggy wheels from a friend at the track and those did fit.
I don't use any spacers for now and run the optional softer kyosho tires, never thought of upgrading them in size, the fronts only do the steering and most of the weight is at the back so truggy tires at the front would be more than what I need.

Nice, good to see that there is some coverage on the scorpion. It has been pretty much under the radar so far.
We had some crazy weather down here, 30ºc in winter (usually under 10º) so I spent the weekend at the coast and got to use the scorpion some more.
This time's victim was the steering servo, the gears were worn out, and the pin that holds the center gear stack broke the hole in the top case, fitted an old KO 2511ICS for now, the better response time and punch of the servo did wonders to the handling, and it only has 9kg/cm of torque.

Installed leds to the dummy light pods on the scorpion yesterday, they have the holes and everything ready to fit them and it was pretty straightforward.
Spent less than 5 bucks for 50 5mm leds, wires, heat shrink and 280ohms resistors. Took half an hour to complete, better than spending 80+ USD on buying them from Kyosho and waiting 30 days for them to arrive.

Yea man , here in the US we have Radio Shack. They even have the parts to build a motor dyno for under $100

I know, I bought some stuff at Radio Shack last time I travelled there. That engine dyno sounds like a nice project!
