Default TL-01 to baja king???

I have a tl-01 sitting around and thought that since the baja king and tl-01 both use the same chassis, it wouldnt be hard to convert a tl-01 to a baja king. I would need new wheels tires, body, long suspention arms, new front bumper, and thats all i can think of.... oh and that peice of plastic on the rear that holds the 2 chassis plates together... and later on i could try fitting on long travel shocks, but berings as my first hop up, then a motor heat sink, speed tunded gear, few other pinions, universal shafts and some other stuff. im just wondering if it would work, i dont see why not though. ANd another thing, how is the bodyconnected to the chassis. in the rcca photo it doesnt look like the body posts are on the chassis.

well thanks for listening

With all the parts you've listed it'll probably be cheaper and simpler to buy a Baja King brand new, and just swapping over any hop-ups you already have on your old TL01.

i have a tamiya dyna storm, the re-release version. all i can say is; IT ROCKS!!
the kit includes:
14 turn tamiya motor
triple plate adjustable slipper clutch
FRP upper deck, lower deck, and shock towers
aluminum anodized blue long stroke dampers
adjustable turnbuckles
full ballbearings
ball diff unit
universal shafts

havent had the chance to race it against other buggies (e.g. losi xxx and ae-b4 etc..) because our local off-road racetrack is very far from my place.

who else have this buggy?? what can you say about it??

Default Neo Shot Cancelled

*Announcement about the 1/10 R/C Neo Shot (Item 58306)
*It is with great regret that due to unforeseen circumstances, production and the subsequent release of the Neo Shot buggy has been cancelled. Tamiya would like to thank everyone for inquiries received regarding this product and sincerely apologizes for any inconvenience caused by its cancellation.

I found the above on the Tamiya website and was wondering if anyone knew what the unforseen circumstances were.

I find this a bit dissapointing, even though I probably wouldn't have raced one. Having Tamiya produce a race capable off-road kit again would have boosted the numbers in off-road at my club for sure.

Better looking body than a Neo Shot. I guess Tamiya realize how ugly Neo Shot is

Nice, kind of reminds me of how Academy did the SB Sport. the UJs on it are angled forward. They also have the pivot blocks setup so it gives the vehicle some kickup.

Your design could work and who knows maybe Tamiya has something like that in the works. I think the main thing needed is a slipper unless you are ultra smooth on the throttle.

Looks nice, but what about support. Not crazy about having to run that body. I wonder if clear bodies are available. Alos, I don't think a slipper is necessary. A lot of 4wd buggies don't use them.
