Exclamation Introduce my self, Karatayk

Dear friends,

I came to NY to continue w/ my education.

I want to introduce myself because i have quite a history in my native country Turkey.

I am in this hobby since I was 9, and i won my first national race in 1994. It was an off-road 1/10 scale buggy race and I was driving a Kyosho Laser ZX-R equipped with a 16T Novak motor.

In 2009, I won the 1/8 Truggy races. I was driving Losi 8, MK.1
In 2010, I won 1/8 Buggy and 1/8 Truggy races. Truggy was RC8T and Buggy was 8B
In 2011, I became 2nd in Truggy races. Truggy was Losi 8T 2.0

Because of flight regulations, I could not get 2 more luggages, so I left all my stuff in Turkey.

I am seriously interested in Short Course trucks. At my other browser page, I am reading about Slash 4x4 Ultimate. But I don't want to be alone, so I have to choose a common category to bash or race.

Do you suggest me to buy SC Truck or what?

All suggestions are gonna be appreciated, thank you.

Sincerely,

Ali Karayalcin

Welcome to the US.

As you have probably noticed, short course is very popular in practically all parts of the US, so you will have no trouble finding people to race with. The Slash is a good vehicle especially in terms if durability but it can have difficulty in keeping up with the more track-oriented trucks like the Losi SCTE and Associated SC104x4.

That was my first thought.

You can always buy a SCT if you want but there should be 1:8 races at any track you go to.
And you will won't have to spend money on a radio.

And if you want to get a sct I would consider a 4wd Losi Scte becuase you will already be familar with the platform if you raced Losi Truggys.
