Default Mugen MBX5 Gearing For Brushless

Im needing some help with my brushless Mugen MBX5. Im using a Tekin T8 1700kv motor and a Castle Creations Mamba Max esc with a Venom 4s 14.8v lipo. I think the spur gear is a 46 tooth. Any ideas?

I would think the mbx6 eco thread would give you some direction or ask in the tekin RX8 thread. Tekin is always answering questions like this there.

How did that Integy conversion kit work? Chassis drilling?

14/46 is stock mbx6 so start with a 14, there's a chance that the ratio at the diffs is different but I would guess they are the same.

Yeah, let me know. My fingers itching to hit the order button

Do either of you have a link to the MBX5 conversion kit you're speaking of? I'm only seeing ones for the MBX6 on the Integy site. Or are they compatible?

Sounds like the motor mounts are drilled the same on the chassis so it should work.
Only one way to find out...

I have mine geared 16/46 with a Tekin 1900 Buggy motor. I would think that you would want atleast 17 to 18. I know 17 is the max that will fit on the mbx6 eco. I don't know if this will apply to your conversion kit.

Thanks, I've never found a conversion kit I was sold on, this looks to be not that bad though.
