Default Slowing down an RC

I have an E-Firestorm 1/10 ST lying around and thought it would be good for my 2 yr old daughter and 5 yr old nephew to play with it. The brushless setup is way too fast. Just wondering how I can slow it down, can I run a 1S lipo?
If now are there anymotor suggestions? Also whats the best Radio for kids, cheap preferably.
Thanks

You could turn the throttle EPA all the way down to limit the speed. Or change the gearing slightly. I wouldn't suggest running it as 1S though.

Cheap radio could be a HobbyKing/FlySky GT3B or any of the cheaper Spektrum, Airtronics/Sanwa, or Futaba units.

EPA is good if your radio has it, most do. If your ESC has a tuning card or PC link you can set the forward max to any percentage.

1S is only good for 1/12 and 1/10 on road plus you'll need a separate B.E.C. to power the electronics.

Post the type of ESC so we know exactly what you can do.

You can either turn down the EPA on the radio, turn the max power down on the ESC or you could go to a higher turn motor. I put a 21.5 turn motor in my son's SC10 until he got used to driving it.

Method 1: Strap a few bricks to it.
Alternate method: Instead of bricks, use a large rock.
Alternate method 2: Remove 2 of the wheels.

Put the car in sea water for a few weeks.
Let it dry.
Drive.
