If I remember right all I needed was a .1mm shim below the crank arms and the brace fit perfect, no play. Are your steering posts (silver) worn quite a bit by chance?

Why would there be an rb7?

The Rb5 'generation' was ~5 years+. We're on year 3 for the rb6.
The "rb" before the RB5 was not much different than the early RB5s too.

My RB6 has been doing me proud lately. I'm at 1551 grams and the car is really easy to drive, the driver though needs some work LOL. I've got the 3 gear and been running a D4-1S certified and it's pulling like a madman down the straights and plenty of power for the short run ways to the rhythm section we have that's double double double out of a tight turn. A guy I met at the track and now good friend has been kind enough to steer me in the right direction and I just stay on top of a few things and the car stays consistent now and the progression in my driving is improving after each outing. I'm loving this car.

Is the RB6 not competitive or do you just want a new car because other companies are rolling out new ones? The latter isn't a wrong answer necessarily but there is a difference.

Theres a 1.5mm shim that goes under the steering arms, but the problem with that brace is that it incorporates the shim on the brace and essentially puts it on top. The issue I had was that if you ran 25/0 caster you gave yourself bump out that you couldnt fix (by lowering the ackerman bars you are essentially raising the steering ballstud).

I shaved the brace flat, but in the end took it off. If you run a truck it's fine as the shim is on top of the steering rack, but on the buggy it's not correct.

Looking on gearing advice for my rb6. I have a 10.5 viper with 25 degrees of mechanical timing with no esc boost or timing. What would be the best pinion to be paired with 82 spur? Would it be a 26-27t pinion? Thanks.

Hey guys, just picked up an rb6 that I am going to be trying out. Currently have 2 b5m t5m and sc5m that I run 3 gear on. I love the way 3 gear changed the handling of the kit.

Question.. looking at the 3 gear for thr rb6. What have you noticed in changes in the way the car handles vs 4 gear?

I will be running the car in stock and mod indoors.
