Ok,yea I don't have that spacer between the bearings(law253). I think that's why I keep blowing out the inner bearings. Thanks

We all learn that lesson the hard way. That spacer is there to put all the load of tightening the axles on the inner race of the bearing. Without that spacer, you are essentially pushing the inner race one way and the outer race the other. Binds up the balls

Went back to the 76 spur as recommended and dropped the timing to 10 on the motor. Zero SC timing. Thing got hot. Way hotter than when I was at 30 degrees timing. Dropped to a 20 pinion and still hot. I was at 84/22 so gearing is back close to where I was. I don't see how less motor timing would make it run hotter.
Something seems off here. Any pics I've seen of these motors have the letters lined up with the solder tabs. Mine are way off at 10 degrees and lined up at 30. I don't remember but did it have 30 out of the box? Guh..

I should be aligned to this notch in the case no? If my timing is actually way retarded that would make it hot I assume.

I actually turned some of my fastest laps today but that had more to do with finally making slicks work.

Thanks for the reply Eper!!
I didn't even notice it. Yup. The whole end of the can is loose and coming off. Lord knows how long I've been fighting this.

I've just installed the RC Shox dual stage piston set in the rear of my RB6. it seems like the insert needs something to hold it in place. Does anyone have experience using these? Maybe you can post pics of your setup? I have the insert on top and the base on the bottom. I've watched the videos but it's a little hard to see.

Let's hear some steering servo suggestions from the group. I'm leaning towards ProTek 170S or Futaba S9352HV. Probably the Futaba as it seems like it will be faster with lower voltage. I'm running this with my Futaba 4PX system. Thanks!

And to complete the conversion there will soon be this, in several colors. The end of the slipper adjustment will have a rubber over boot that slides on and keys to the groove.
