Hey Guys,
I know this has probably been answered already numerous times, but here goes.
I run the RB6 in MID motor config here in Australia.
Now I have had the problem in 3 of the RB6's that run mid motor,
No matter what we do there seems to be a weird noise coming from the car, anywhere where its under load, ie. Mid sweepers, landings off jumps, sometimes on the upramps of jumps. Now the noise sounds like a bird chirping or like a high pitch bark. We run our diffs really really tight as we thought this was the problem, tightened up the slipper all the way to try and make the diff slip but still no change.
I have tried MIP Diffs, Cermic balls, Carbide balls and even the std steel balls but to no avail. Does anyone know what this could be?
Almost sounds like a gear slipping or something rubbing metal on metal. My thought was even that the diff plates were slipping on the actual outdrive but no wear there also.
If anyone has a clue about this that would be great
Ben

Mine does too, its the wing against the tire under load. Had a buddy have that same issue and that was the noise.

+1 on the noise, the wing must be in a slightly different position in mid motor.

Mid engine rear wide suspension mounts
Anyone try these yet? They were just recently released and I am wondering if it is worth converting my car from rear motor to mid- motor with the wide rear mounts? and giving a new set-up a shot ?

Can anybody speak about the new exotek midmotor narrow rear hanger.? Looks like it might be a good option to have.
Can this same geometry be achieved with the new kyosho hangers with the inserts? Or are those for rear configuration. Thanks
