I don't touch carpet. One track has wood jumps, but is proper clay with grip. The other track is a mix of clay and top soil and is fairly low grip. Also the same guys who run those aforementioned 8th scales and 4wd SCT's all run there all winter so it gets beat up LOL

I would be another one.

Anyone think it's a dumb idea to run 16AWG for a 17.5 blinky?

Yeah, holeshots are great. Interestingly enough, on my track, the moment groovies start to round, I start thinking about the next set of tyres.

It's probably because your track is smooth, not because it wasn't dusty. Bumps/ruts/ridges running parallel to the direction will cause this sort of inconsistency.

I don't own an aluminum wing mount for any of my cars, but was considering picking one up. I was thinking it might be possible to grind down the body clip post and tapping the aluminum to drive a screw in. Since I don't own one of these mounts I'm not sure if there's enough material to do this though.

I run 16ga wire on my stock buggy and it never even gets warm. Clean solder joints and shortest runs as far as possible on mine. Of course run 13 TQ wire on my mod buggy.
