Revtech shorty is worth the money.. I just sold my shortie but thinking I should of kept it for a back up. I just got a WTS Orion 90c but cant really tell about the performance due to running mod but... I'm pretty sure its up there for those hot laps running in stock. Plus if you need the extra weight it can always be added.

Iv run a few different shorties and nothing I have tried comes close to my Fantom shorties (based off the revtech packs). Buy directly from Fantom.. they are actually cheaper than revtech labeled packs. At 4500mah, you get a nice pile of mah in the shorty.... they maintain voltage EXTREMELY well.

Here is the strange part. I was worried that the high MAH of the Fantom shorty would make it still a bit too heavy (I have a specific weight goal for the fatty RB6)... But I weighed my Fantom 4500 shorty against my 1.5 year old losi excelorin shorty which is a 3800, and my Fantom pack is ONE gram heavier. Figure that one out

I will be curious to see your findings vs. this spring chart. Yes, the KYO springs are quite a bit different than the advertised rate (according to this chart).

I don't think the Xgear springs actually have an advertised spring rate... somebody like yourself made a testing rig and just posted his numbers... According to Xgear/Kyosho, their advertised rates are just "soft, medium soft, medium.." etc.

Many racers at West Coast have the Orion shorties...They are already sold out. There are more coming soon.

are these the correct parts to put the "old" rb5 front axles on the RB6?

having trouble finding replacement shock o-rings online - are they the same as the associated o-rings? what do you guys use?

also, I cant find the part numbers for the shock ends (different lengths) and the little bushings that fit in them for the RB6

No they are not. Get the xrings if you dont find the o rings they are just as good but get Kyosho.

no they wont Jeff at SpeedTech says March 8th.. however they are rolling out there own line of 4000 Mah 70c batts at a good price.
