They are going to look at the picture of the bottom of your car and say "Sorry, but taking a hammer and a grinder to the bottom of your car voids the warranty on the chassis".

: Just messin with ya.. hopefully we get some answers.

pretty sure you arent supposed to measure ride height there. theres a good size step in the chassis so you should measure in front of that step.

I hear ya... Time and parts, I don't have much of either. Actually, I'm only waiting for pinions and I can hopefully run it this week.

Speedtech should always be your #1 stop (after your LHS, of course)

http://www.speedtechhobbies.com/inde...roduct_id=1787

Make sure you buy the white suspension bushings at the same time... you don't run the metal bushings with the metal holders.

I'm a little puzzled over the chassis with the dent under the transmission. I have been running the RB6 since it was released 2 nights a week and mine is perfect. I'm wondering if people are using a tranny mod like the losi 22, raising the tranny would allow the space for the chassis to cave in. Also this chassis cost about a hundred bucks and a chassis protector is about 8 bucks for 2 sheets, seams like a no brainer to me.

That's one of the best things about speedtech, you can call the guys right up and get all the help you would ever need. On top of that, their prices just can't be beat.

By the way, in a pinch, you can always order the strc ones off amain. They are cheaper, and should work just as well. Plastic bushings still needed.

Agreed on speedtech.... Awesome rates no gimmicks people are helpful.... none of the coupon code loyalty points hassles of the big two to bring prices down to speedtechs prices ... Honest pricing and crazy fast shipping!! Just they sell out a lot faster on the rb6 parts so ordered mine on absolute

I have an even better solution. I have this GIANT roll of very very thick tape from 3M. It feels like electrical tape, but its almost 1mm thick. It's about 5" or 6" wide, and the roll is huge, bigger than a roll of TP. Just lay it on, spread it out, and cut to trim the front and rear... vuala. Works BETTER than a chassis protector, can be pealed on and off many many times before it needs to be replaced, and I can probably do 50 chassis on a roll. Iv had this one roll for a year, and it's still 95% full.

I don't know the product number off hand, but I can get it for you later if you want.

Took the transmission out and it seems very thin 1 mill maybe less, I can flex it easy with slight pressure. Running the buggy totally stock,no raised trans.

I don't think there's any chassis protector sheet that would prevent this.
