Hey guys other than this setup, is there any other starting setup for MM on low traction? It's something I wish to try out, our local track is not too technical (i.e. no start-stops, 180s etc.), I think I can carry enough speed and momentum around it. Thanks,

med/high traction.. Depends.. Lol

motor im using is a vst 8.5 geared at 22/76 with an r10 punch at 3
This is close to what I run (22/76 with an r10 punch at 2), but had to change to Associated pads/spur. The white Kyosho pads grip too much to get rid of low end wheel spin. Anyone else have some ideas on smoothing out the low end on a 8.5 for the RB6. Already have -100% expo on throttle thru radio.

set your radio to straight linear and adjust down the esc punch. Gear down watch temps. Or just go to a 10.5

linear throttle makes the throttle too hard to drive and I can only go down 1 on the punch on the esc as it is only at 2. A local guy told me to add teeth to the pinion to make the buggy lazier on the low end, haven't tried that yet.

ok, I have a lot of catching up to do here.

- What springs come on the car? I looked at petitrc and tried to search this thread, but cant fine the info. I think one pair is red, but unsure.

- I was looking on petit rc for an outdoor wet and low/med traction setup and didnt really see a lot. Is the box setup pretty good for that? Not WAY off. I would like to keep costs lowish until I get a better feeling for the car. I have tires and springs from my b4 that I can reuse for now. I am sure the K springs are cheaper, but at $20 a pair, I will need to hold off for now.

I felt the need to try a different front spring yet, but even from white - gold - red rears, they are not huge jumps in feel. If you have reds, get a pair of whites to try.

I have not been up there yet, planning too this summer. I've heard the indoor track should be close enough to ours, just use the tires everyone else does. The settings I would change first if you were to feel the car was too loose or edgy would be, .5dg rear hubs, white rear spring, move battery from mid to rear position.

do you have a part number for the strc narrow hangers?

Anyone running the solar 770 in the rb6? any fit issues?
