Has anyone tried the JConcepts Illuzion body for the Kyosho RB5 on their TC02?

Default RB5 body

Haven't tried that Jconcepts body but if it fits the RB5 it will fit.

Hi, I have a question about rear wheels. I put Losi 22 rear wheel, off set is too wide that the nylon lock nut wont go all the way in. So, is RB5 or B4.2 offset a better fit to Evo02that the nylon can go all in? Thanks

Its not so much the offset but if you look at the hole the axle goes through. The plastic is actually thicker. With the proline rim fitting the b4/rb5/22 the offsets should be reasonably similar. When I use the prolines or the 22 rims on mine I use a team Durango serrated nut that is a low profile nut that doesn't use nylon in it. they come in like a ten pack for a couple bucks .

jconcepts has nice low profile serated nuts as well, I think they cost more though but they are pretty blue lol

I'm picking up a TC02 Evo buggy this next week and I had a couple questions.. Does the buggy use metric or hex hardware? What sizes should I pick up?

Also, does anyone have a picture of the RB5 body on their Team C buggy from the underside so I can see how well it fits?

The buggy uses metric hardware and can be built almost entirely with a 2.0 hex driver. You will also need a 1.5 hex driver for the wheel hexes and set screws. The only phillips screw is in the diff.

Phillips screw in the diff? I wonder how that happened… I'll have to look up a replacement screw for that one then Haven't used phillips screws on an RC car since I was 13 and bought a Traxxas Rustler

Now if only someone had an RB5 body they could take a pic of

Hmmm found the screw in the manual.. Looks like 2.5 x 25 size..

That's my RB5 body on Evo pic.
It fits extremely well. On a gusty day air might get in there when getting air off a jump. I've decided to stick to the Evo Cab forward bodies. I think they look great.
