Can you enlighten me on what the 22T arms/driveshafts and 22 2.0 rear axles will do to the truck? Also what type of surface do you run on?
Those parts are the biggest part of the setup IMO, more rear grip, more stable, and more consistent. Can't endorse the change enough. And I don't think it matter what type of surface you run on, this will be a good change.

Thx Frank. That's exactly what I wanted to hear. I tend to run on looser surfaces, so more rear grip would be great. Really looking forward to trying this out and I've been very upset w my current setup.

I'm just curious what the 22 2.0 rear axle adds to the setup and is there a way to get them w/out buying the driveshafts?

2.0 axles have less bone lock up and allow the rear to squat more under acceleration. It's up to you on what parts you want to put on, but I don't put anything on the setup sheet unless I found it to be better

I am completing the build of my new 22sct. The local track is indoor clay, high bit. Others run mid-motor. I am looking for a mid-motor set up sheet to start with, but everything I find is rear motor. Suggestions of where to find a mid-motor set up sheet please.

I can atest to this "change" being a big difference. I've never an a shorty in my 22SCT and ran 99% of Franks setup at my local track and even on the "wrong" tire I had good grip.

I would like to ask you Frank, the car feels a bit "light" in the front end on power...you adding weight or anything? In air car control you can feel the "lightness" of the truck...

Understood. Thanks so much Frank. Really appreciate the help.

I'm also curious about Randy's question. I've had that same feeling in the past w other setups.

I don't have any weight in my truck. That was the goal when I started working on it, shorty pack and no extra weight. Be sure that this setup would work for the guys trying to race stock as well (especially really).

You can always throw in a full size pack and see how it makes the truck feel, or maybe a bit of lead/brass/steel in front of the battery. I might require a stiffer front spring though.

Yeah I thought I may go there... I'm racing a tight indoor high grip clay track this weekend so corner speed is a premium. Something you can get with this super light setup..it carries mad corner speed without wanting to tip over..nice job Frank.

hey frank,
http://www.tlracing.com/Products/Def...odID=TLR232027
are the grooves for ventilation or are they supposed to change the characteristics of the slipper? Both?

Has anyone ever put an scb body and cage on this chassis? I just like scb.

I'd pay big bucks for a SCB 22sct conversion...

Frank
Are you running sct standard front hex with the 2.0 parts. I noticed that the 2.0 spindles make the truck narrower then with stock parts.

I was curious about this as well, I'm assuming he uses standard 22 hexes front and rear.

Question about changing the kick angle from stock 30 deg to 25 deg, do I need a new front hinge pin brace? The stock one says 30 deg on it, im assuming this needs to be swapped. Do I use the one from TLR234008 along w a 25 deg kick angle shim?
