Most TLR Team drivers (and many club racers) are running the Aluminum 22 Buggy Front Pivot Part # TLR1072 with the Brass front 25 deg shim Part # TLR1049 rather than the 30 deg 22T/SCT front Pivot Part # TLR1105. What exactly do you gain by doing this over the stock setup?

Let me start by saying I love the TLR 22sct body...however
...I would like to change it up a bit. I still need the air flow that this excellent top offers, but also need something that fits well without a bunch of modification (basic swearing as I try to make it fit).
I have yet to see something "specific" that fits this truck. Pro-line has created bodies that fit a majority of SCT's out there including the XXX-SCT and SCTE. I do not have either of these so I do not know how much off the mounting posts are to a 22sct.
So, I am asking for feedback (and pics if possible) of those of you who have put something else on successfully.
Thanks kindly in advance,
CD

I don't get it - why are you having trouble mounting your body? Mine fits perfectly.
Did you fit the body and cut the mounting holes before you painted it?

I thought I'd save a few bucks so I ordered the Hot Racing 1.5mm 22 buggy hubs for the front end of my 22SCT. Got them at half the price of the TLR hubs. Problem is, once installed they are actually narrower than the stock 22SCT plastic hubs by about 1mm, and they need shims behind them to take up slop between the hubs and the wheel bearings. So to get a slightly wider front end I still need to order the TLR hubs, or shim the heck out of these inferior copy-cat hubs. First time I have been disappointed in a Hot Racing product.

Andrew, put Frank Roots set up from Mikes Showdown on the truck. It works perfect at Mikes. The weight Frank added was in the battery compartment against the rear shock tower. Come see me about the nose high jumping problem. We'll get you jumping right in no time. There's a different technic for jumping 2wd cars.

Where are you putting the foam blocks? Did you Try moving the battery block towards the battery so you do have foam blocks in front?
