I had the avid in my truck when I first got it. I'm running a 6.5 Reedy Sonic motor in it. It felt ok at first, but not great. Switched back to the stock setup and it felt better, but I never really liked how it felt. Then I switched to the AE VTS-4 slipper and it was exactly what I was hoping. The one problem with the AE slipper is that it has clearance problems with the gear cover. A little bit of dremel work and put spacers between the gear cover and motor plate, problem solved.

Well too know fault of the 22SCT's my idler gear went in my mid-motor set up!!! Stupid me when I built the kit I missed putting on the bearing that goes on the outside of the spur gear shaft. So it shredded the Idler after about 10 races. Re-built it last night with new idlers and bearings. Can't wait to put it back on track and upfront of the pack!!!

I run an 8.5 in my 22SCT. Others run down to 6.5. You are in the range of motor for this truck.

Geared right a 8.5 should be plenty unless you run on a very large track.

i asked because i run a 13.5 in my 22b so i was thinking the 8.5 should be enough for a competitive truck!!!

Just got my 22SCT done and took it to OCRC last night, was running solid 26's all night but would like to get down to 24's. Anyone used Casper's setup for the 22sct? Some of the guys said they were running his sheet verbatim with great success.

was going to post the sheet link... but I guess I have to post more on the forum.. PM me if you want the link.

Was just curious before I go out and buy tranny shims, buggy springs.. etc.

We developed the setup at OCRC so I would expect it to work well for you there.

If running the same tire all around try blue front springs like Ryan put on the setup sheet.

Unfortunately getting out of 2wd SCT. Not enough for a consistant class in my area. If it ever picks back up I'll definitely get another 22SCT. Drives awesome. Painted up onther body for the guy getting it. Here it is.

Losi 22 SCT newby here....came from 5 years as an SC10 FT owner. First off...can anyone send me the link to Caspers most recent setup sheet? Second I was wondering if there are any issues with this truck? Diff issues, Slipper issues, durability issues? Just wondering what if anything I need to do to keep this truck in tip top racing condition...thanks,

Casper, what set up are you running at Hot Rod Hobbies? My truck feels pretty hooked, started playing around with front and rear sway bars when the track is dry and it felt quite a bit more settled. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I ran my older setup I have on petitrc.com last time I was there for the JBRL finals. Truck was really good on the blue groove. I think for normal club racing the new Dunford/Casper setup would work really well though.
