The boy ran Hacker/casper set up in Indy this past weekend. He ran pro sc open with a 17.5 boosted an the truck looked very good he ended up finishing 5th in the a-main.The track was med-high grip and damp the truck seemed pretty hooked up The only thing I did not change was the castor block and the rear hubs were middle. If i go to say a 5 deg castor vs a 10 will there be more low speed turning and by moving hubs forward more forward grip less side bite correct? So far this truck seems to be pretty good no matter what you do!!! I do understand a 17.5 is easier to hook up than say a 6.5 but for my boy a 17.5 is way easier to drive and 5th out of 40 in pro sc open is a good day. Thanks for the help

Hey Casper,
Why do you use the Buggy Yellow rear springs instead of the Truck Yellow rear spring on your set-up?
is the shorter spring softer?

Its about the progression rate of the springs. there is a difference between the buggy and truck that's why they use the buggy springs.

I get that part of it, but I am curious what he is getting out of the buggy spring that he didn't get out of the truck spring. I understand the buggy springs are shorter then trucks springs, but I am still curious

Spring rate progression... it'll start softer then as the spring gets closer, the spring rate gets tighter. I have tried the Kyosho, Avid, AE spring, and the Losi buggy yellow works real well with this setup. Thanks Ryan!

On another note, I finally have a setup I like with a shorty running 17.5 at a very competitive track. Now only if my driving skills can match how good this truck feels...
