I use deans but my battery are bullet type not hardwired!

Stupid mistake cause I was in a hurry! will not happen again (I HOPE) as I am putting bullet connectors on my battery leads from my ESC and making them just long enough to reach one side of the battery only so this wont happen again!

So I just got this kit assembled, and 3 races with it. Im running the 17.5 stock class in blinky mode. However there is a tripple that I just cannot clear, and some of the trucks out there are clearing it. Gearing Im using is 78/24 and also tried 82/29.

The other thing I have tried is different battery packs. I've used Team CRCs 5300 mAh 40C 2s packs, and Turnigy Nano-Techs A-Spec 6200 mAh 65C~130C burst 2s packs.

What battery packs are you stock racers using out there? Are you using the reocmended stock gearing (78/24)? any help appreciated!

Motor Im using is the Team Orion Vortex Pro Stock, and my temps are not high. Have not actually put my temp gun to the can, but it is just mildly hot to the touch...

Gear up until the motor is coming off no hotter than 160* at the end of however long your mains are (5min, 8min, etc.).

By gearing up, you mean more acceleration or more top end?

More top sPeed, bigger pinion gears. Go one or two at a time and check. But get yourself a temp gun or find someone with one, your finger can't tell the difference between 160-180...

I'll give that a try on Thursday, and will check temps as well.

I am using the Lunsford 36003 kit on my truck and it has been spot on. Last Saturday I had zero issues with turnbuckles and ball cups.

Watch out some of my batteries have reverse polarity position - specifically Protek - so use a silver sharpie or something to denote +. Incidentally I have done it too
