Got to love Horizon Hobbies sent them an email as I couldn’t get on the phone to organise the ball cups. Two days later I have an email saying they are on the way.

Now that is customer service no messing around with chains of emails not that there was ever any doubt… 10 out of 10

That's awesome!!

Ran this whole last weekend with Dustin Evans (and Maifield, but he's AE, so no care mucho), and I didn't have one ballcup come off all weekend long.... Until I made the A-Main with all the big dog factory drivers, and popped my first ever ballcup on the 22SCT on the second lap. Haha, just my luck

Read the first post. Scott has done a great job of listing all kinds of good info on the first post.

The sad part about the ball cup poping off is that it may of cost you the race but it cost Losi alot more in reputation damage. Plus you will now always worry about it. Glad you can laugh about it. Some of us are not. Hope your luck holds out. Luck is not somthing I like investing hundreds of dolars in. I don't mind fixing a broken part because I did something foolish or my lack of driving skill. I have plenty of that(sarcasm). Maybe Losi should include a lucky rabbit foot in the kit. Losi's support has been great at getting new parts out. Hope the new ball cups eliminate the problem.

I got mine from RC Racing Designs. Very happy with the product and service. He is also a member of Rc tech. As mentioned, the info is on the front page.

I have to say, I did the mods as advised and have not had an issue on over 6 Battery Packs of testing.

In the grand scheme of things, Losi did do the right thing by the end user.

1) They acknowledged it.
2) They Advised of an interim fix.
3) They Rectified it.
4) They supplied those parts to users at no charge.

There is not a lot of companies in any industry that will do that.

BTW Im not a Horizon Hobby/Losi fanboy (in fact I hate Spektrum) but I do have to applaud them for the way they handled this situation.

Learned the hard way! Be careful when adjusting the AVID slipper using the "hold both wheels and throttle a wheelie a few inches high" method. I had it about right when the slipper overheated and destroyed the outside pad. Making things worse, the pads are on back order! Back on goes the stock slipper so I can start tuning this great truck...

Box stock setup with tranny mod and ball cup mod. Small indoor clay track with medium bite. Truck is pushing bad. Any reccomendations would be appreciated.

Yeah, waiting on a set of pads for mine. My 6.5 roasted mine half way through a pack. Outdoor track and cant run it as tight as you would on a indoor and toasted it. So I put a 9.5 back in for now.
