Hobbyking Lipos For Vorza 1/8

I am in the market for a Vorza 1/8 and i anticipate i will have it before Christmas. you got to treat yourself once in a while no....
Quick question, What is the largest hardcase mah lipo that will fit the battery tray? I want to run a single 4s pack and then a single 5s.....

Any help on what i should order will be very much appreciated

Cheers

Only 1S, 2S, and 4S LiPo batteries come in Hardcase packs as somewhat of an 'industry standard', being that more often than not, they are required to be Hardcase packs for sanctioned race events, etc. However, you will find that almost any/every size LiPo made, is available as a soft pack. So you would only find that 5S pack in a soft pack variety/flavor.

Ps, you're crazy to run a 5S in an eBuggy!? Lol! I don't think your typical 1/8 ESC will take the 18.5V of a 5S battery, anyways... Lol

I've got 5s in hard case. 5s is awesome in the Vorza.

That is completely wrong, most if not all 8th scale ESCs can handle up to 6s at least. You just need to have the right motor. More voltage less kvs.

Well that seems like a bad idea, IMO... Hence why I'm still a little shocked by that, haha :weird:

eBuggies are already stupid fast, why make them any crazier? LOL

It's not and thats what people out there dont understand about e buggy. A buggy running 6s on a 1350 or 1550kv motors will run with less heat and be more energy efficent. Also you can get the same if not longer run time with a 5s or 6s with a lower 3250 mah battery compared to a 5000mah 4s lipo.

False you can get a hard case lipo from 1s all the way up to 6s.

Yeah, show up to any legitimate race track with anything over a 4S and you'll be laughed at and be requested to run 4S or less.

So, ultimately it sounds rather pointless.

Yes I know this, but this is the arguement of all time, guys with 4x4 sct want to be able to rune bigger lipos but have to run 2s, the same with buggy. To me I think the roar rules are a crock of shit to be honest. What is the big deal with running 6s on a 1350kv compared to a 1900kv on 4s. There both gonna be just as fast but the 6s buggy will be better all the way around but yet roar says you cant and I think that's wrong.

X2

ROAR and limiting 1/8 eBuggy to 6S seems counterproductive to me. I'd much rather run a 6S/1400Kv setup over a 4S/1900Kv. Similar power yet the 6S in theory would give me a longer runtime.

You got to understand though most of us on this forum are club racers so it doesnt matter what we run on a 1/8 scale. Most of us dont even bother racing at Roar events the only rule that club racing tracks have is the 2s rule on the 4x4 SC .

Now i never tried a bigger cell lipo and lower KV motor just a 4s 2200kv on my truggy.

But a 6s on a lower KV motor on a E-Buggy does seem to much.
